The Department

Our team helps successful families and entrepreneurs around the world structure their assets in a way that will preserve their wealth now and for future generations.

We advise on all aspects of wealth structuring, using domestic and international trusts and foundations and private trust companies in local as well as offshore jurisdictions and we co-ordinate the acquisition of appropriate investments. Our advice to fiduciaries covers the design and implementation of new plans, as well as the modernization and consolidation of older trusts. We also assist them in complying with the complex rules surrounding investments, accounting, taxes and compliance.

The Role

We are looking for a Trainee to work in our international tax team in Milan and Padua currently composed of 6 professionals. The areas of interest on which the candidate must have gained experience are:

• Trust and trust law
• Taxation of natural persons
• Assistance in relation to the transfer of residence in Italy and abroad
• Taxation of artists and sportsmen
• International taxation
• Indirect taxes
• Real estate taxation

The candidate should focus primarily on assisting the firm's national and international clients with regard to asset planning and trust structures.

Key skills and experience

• Previous experience of private client, wealth structuring and tax advice
• Strong academics
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Excellent research skills
• Team player
• Strong IT skills (e.g. Word & excel)

The essentials

• 1 – 2 years of previous experience and the remuneration will be commensurate with the actual skills and experience gained
• A degree in law or economics with a final grade of not less than 108/110 and preferably have sustained an LL.M. in English in tax law or international law of trusts or commercial law
• A level of English proficiency equal to a C1 is required
