What are we looking for?

 

We are looking for a bright individual to join our digital team in London which itself is part of the wider marketing and business development (MBD) function.   This is a varied role supporting other members of the digital team, as well as managing your own workload and will give the successful candidate great exposure to a wide range of digital marketing activity. The role is ideal for somebody who is looking to start their career in digital marketing with some experience of working in a business environment.

 

You will be joining a friendly, fun and lively team at a pivotal time when the firm is investing significantly in its digital platform, which sits at the heart of everything we do. The firm has a unique culture that many prefer over that of other firms and our client base is truly fascinating.  Because of this, and because of the type of law we advise on, we have scope to run more engaging campaigns than elsewhere in the sector and in this role, you will play an important part in future campaigns.

 

On the digital side your key responsibilities will include publishing content to our website and social media platforms, using a range of tools to report on and measure success of our digital activity, generating and sending out branded communications and generally helping to support and manage the firm's digital platform.

 

Skills and attributes

 

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Previous use of content management systems (eg Sitecore or Kentico), Photoshop and Google Analytics and an understanding of basic SEO would be an advantage, as would an eye for design
  • Enthusiastic and keen, with a can-do approach and the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to flex your style depending on who you are talking to
  • Experience working in a business environment whether in a previous role or in a work placement
  • Keen attention to detail

 

Areas of focus and responsibilities

 

  • Using our content management system to maintain existing and create new website content
  • Assisting with optimisation of content for search engine optimisation
  • Assisting with the writing, scheduling and publishing of content to social media platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram in accordance with the firm's social media policy
  • Management of content across our video and podcast platforms: YouTube, Vimeo, Buzzsprout
  • Using analytics and reporting tools to produce reports and analyse performance/engagement across our digital channels (Google Analytics, Siteimprove, Hootsuite)
  • Using our email marketing systems and CRM systems (Tikit and InterAction) to generate and report on the regular branded newsletters, briefings and event invitations that are sent out to clients and contacts
  • Using digital publication tools such as Foleon to create branded reports and other materials
  • Sourcing imagery from stock image libraries that fits our brand style
  • Generation of branded social assets using Photoshop
  • Helping to support ongoing social media and PPC campaigns in liaison with various external agencies
  • Educating key stakeholders on best practice across digital channels, helping to increase employee advocacy
  • Maintaining the firm's global presence via GoogleMyBusiness, Wikipaedia etc
  • Using Survey Monkey to create and deliver surveys
  • Monitoring digital inbox and responding to internal enquiries
  • Support for ad hoc projects being run across the digital team
  • Keeping up to date with digital trends

The Essentials

 

  • 9.30am – 5.30pm but flexibility is a must
  • Hybrid working  with the option of splitting your time between home and the office
  • 12 week probation period

About Marketing & Business Development at Withers Worldwide
