Summary

Under the general direction of the US Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Assistant will be responsible to process daily receipts of firm and client funds and any other accounting and finance duties, as assigned. The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; flexibility for occasional before and after hours work, as needed. This role is deemed to be hybrid and will be in office 2-3 days a week.

The Role

  • Apply daily receipts, including office, escrow and miscellaneous funds.
  • Confirm incoming wires and checks to attorneys, secretaries and others, as required.
  • Monitor and record credit card payments as available on processing portal
  • Research, reconcile and coordinate return of residual client funds.
  • Assist the accounting department with month and year end closing activities, as required.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, high school degree or equivalent required.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Elite Enterprise, Elite 3e, Aderant
  • Filesite / iManage
  • Online banking systems, ie, HSBCnet and Bank of America CashPro
  • Credit Card Merchant Services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of meeting deadlines while being attentive to detail
  • Ability to work well both in a team and independently
